Standard PC Games
It goes without saying, these are really common. I have most of these games on different consoles, be it PS1 or PS2, even Dreamcast. The ones I'm trying to collect mainly are RTS and Horror games. I've found games from 2009-2011 for 50p, some PC games like Assassin's Creed only cost me 20p. Soldier of Fortune: Double Helix cost me 10p.
People part with them easily because of Steam but I need the physical copy to satisfy my pride of ownership. The Age of Empires series as well as Age of Mythology are probably my favourite games in this DVD case format.

Jewel Case Games
I'm sure that all of these used to come in the big cardboard boxes. Obviously because those things take up so much room a lot of people threw them out allowing them to store the games in the same way they would CDs.
I happen to have quite a few of these games and they're normally found where you would expect to find CDs. When I'm out hunting I never glance over CDs as you don't know what's in there.

Special/Limited/Collector Editions
I don't have many of these but they are really nice to have nonetheless. The Oblivion collectors edition still has the coin sealed in it's packaging. The Dawn of War Anthology is missing one expansion pack which can be found in Dawn of War: Complete Collection but it's a good item nonetheless.
Favourites/Rarities
Here are some special editions and rare games like the Battle For Middle Earth games.
Big Box Games
These are my favourite games to collect, they take up a stupid amount of room but I can't stop buying them. I buy them for the box art, the documentation inside, the posters and just because they're awesome retro games. Sierra games are by far my favourite games to collect for, especially their old RTS games.
My favourite RTS series is Command & Conquer, I'm only missing Red Alert: The Aftermath. My favourite RTS game of all time is Empire Earth, although Empire Earth 2 is superior Empire Earth was the first RTS game I ever played and it blew my mind.

Extras
The one thing I love about Big Box PC games is the documentation supplied with them, such work and effort went into designing the maps and even the instruction manuals which look like Hymn books or are printed on special paper to give it another effect.
Some of my games come with short stories, logbooks, maps, publisher brochures. I even have original receipts for some of the games! As you can see from the pictures below, instruction manuals were more of a thing back then. You could argue that ''nobody reads the manuals'' but when the work is as impeccable and inspired as this, well you'd be a fool not to.

Amiga Games
I don't own an Amiga yet but these were cheap, £1 in fact. Deathbringer comes in an impressive looking box but you can't store it next to big box or standard PC games because of it's size, so it acts as a centerpiece for my Big Box PC game collection.
The Lost Vikings is a game I remember playing at my cousin's house on the Super Nintendo when I was younger so I had to buy it. I've recently played the modern incarnation of the classic game Syndicate so I had to buy the original. King's Quest is a game I remember from AVGN (although he may not have reviewed this particular game) and I already own King's Quest: Mask For Eternity on PC, Alien Breed II is made by Team 17, the minds behind the classic Worms series so it was a must buy.

My Computer
I own many modern games which require a high-end gaming PC to run to their full potential, this is the rig I run.
